Our Pastor

Jonathon was called into full time ministry in August 1987, left his full time position at Shell Chemical in Geismar, Louisiana to attend Ministers Training Institute. After graduation, he served as an assistant pastor with Larry Stockstill of Bethany World Prayer Center in Baker, LA. In 1989 the Samuel family moved to Longmont, CO to pioneer a work there; then returned in 1990 to continue at Bethany. There he became a Zone pastor of approximately 325 people. In 2003 he worked with another local church and was a small group pastor over approximately 75 families. During his pastorate at these two churches in Louisiana, the Lord always allowed Jonathon to reach out and pastor the people in the rural areas of the Feliciana Parishes.

His compassion and love for people as well as past experiences over the years has equipped Jonathon and Debbie for their greatest experience ever: to plant and raise a new church in the Feliciana area. Jonathon and Debbie moved to Clinton, Louisiana in June of 2004. There God gave them the dream and vision of building a life giving church focused on the simplicity of the gospel with the compassion and power of a living God. Pastor Jonathon is committed to keeping Feliciana Harvest Church a place where people always feel like family, experience the love and saving power of Jesus Christ.

He also serves as an area coordinator for the National Day of Prayer, on the board of Intercessors for Louisiana, is active with Louisiana Family Forum, and is working with the Governor’s Program on Abstinence.
