The Purpose of Feliciana Harvest Church

Feliciana Harvest Church was birthed from Matthew 9:36-38 “But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, the harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

At Feliciana Harvest Church we want to bring together people who are weary and scattered, who need a place to call home, a church family. We want to provide a place where people can come just as they are and experience the compassionate love of Jesus Christ and the miracle working power that only He gives. We can make a world of difference one life at a time starting right where we are!

Feliciana Harvest Church exists to:

To worship God with sincere expression.
To share the Good News of Jesus with others.
To connect with other believers in meaningful relationships.
To prepare disciples to fulfill their purpose.
To encourage believers in their God-given destiny.

Harvest Connectt 4:  Cross, Connect, Cultivate, Convey

The Cross: Eph. 1:7 Jesus said:  “unless one is born again (spiritually) he cannot see the kingdom of God.  That is available through the redemptive work of his shed blood, the remission of our sins.

Connect:  Acts 2:46 Harvest offers different ways to connect: women, men, couples, youth on a regular basis.  With this context the focus is on worship, fellowship, study of the word, serving and outreaches.  Also  Heb. 10:25 tells us not to neglect our Church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back is drawing near.

Cultivate: Luke 2:52   Even our Lord Jesus “grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man. Once you have connected in relationship with Jesus and the church family, it is time for you to grow!   Even the early church held group meetings where people were taught doctrines of the faith. Attend the Harvest Life Classes for 10 weeks to become grounded and rooted in the word of God.

You will also learn how to serve using the gifts in the body of Christ so we can be all the Lord wants us to be.  God has positioned you at Harvest to be a vital part of changing lives and shaping destinies of those around you.  Eph. 2:10 says “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good, works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” : Here is a list of some of the more prominent ministry opportunities where you can serve:

Convey: Acts 1:8 As Jesus once told a new believer:..”Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion of you. 
Also as believers we are instructed to receive the power of the Holy Spirit and become witnesses to all believers in Jerusalem (our home and city) all Judea (our parish, state) Samaria, (our Nation) and to the ends of the earth (world missions).
